Whistler Elopement Venue: Stone Circle
If you’re looking for a private, beautiful outdoor location to tie the knot, away from the bustle of Whistler Village, the Stone Circle might just be your dream spot.
Nestled alongside Alta Lake, it’s a serene, natural setting where the mountains meet the water - and the best part? You can reserve it for private use, so it’s all yours on your wedding day. This is everything you need to know.
What makes the stone circle special:
Tucked beside Alta Lake, the Stone Circle feels secluded and private - yet it’s so very easy to reach. It’s only a short walk from the parking area, but once you’re there, it feels like you’ve stepped into your own private sanctuary. This is rare for an outdoor-loving town like Whistler, that sees many tourists flock to the pretty outdoor areas, but the fact you have the ability to book it means you get privacy.
The variety of photos is also ideal: the stone arrangement forms a beautiful stage, perfect for intimate ceremonies with mountain views as your backdrop.
The little path in provides you with an opportunity for forest photos, and there is a hut nearby for charming photos. Finally, lakeside park is right nearby, for photos with the lake.
Need to know: Location and Parking, Permit and Insurance.
Parking: Lakeside Park Parking Lot - just a few minutes’ walk along a forested path.

Insurance: Liability insurance is required for all bookings - my couples have often used Duuo.
Other details
Capacity: Up to 30 guests - ideal for elopements and small weddings.
Best time to book: The Stone Circle is available year-round, and each season brings it’s own beauty. The benefit of booking it is that
Surroundings: There’s a charming hut close to the site that’s perfect for photos - and as a backup shelter in case of rain. We love a built-in rain plan!
You’re also right next to Lakeside Park, which can be lovely for photos, too. In winter time, when the lake is totally frozen over, I’ve had couples walk onto the lake for photos - obviously be sure to check it’s safe first!Winter Tips: The site can be icy in winter. Wear sturdy footwear, and change into dress shoes right before the ceremony if you prefer. If there’s been fresh snow, it’s worth asking someone to check conditions ahead of time. Hand warmers are your friend!
Other: Alcohol is not permitted on site.
